Fundamental Exercises

Theory 

  • The Red Belt signifies danger, cautioning the student to exercise control and warning the opponent to stay away.

  • Toi-Gye is the pen name of the noted scholar Yi Hwang (16th Century).

  • Yi Hwang was an authority on Confucianism.

Blocking

  • Walking Stance W Shape Block

  • L-Stance Low Double Forearm Pushing Block

  • Jumping X-Stance X-Fist Pressing Block

Striking
